The Short Girl's Guide to Wearing Tall Boots
Over-knee-boots are one of my favorite things to wear, but if you're 5'3" (like me) or shorter it can be tricky to style!
Here are a few tips to help you out:
1. Make sure they stop all the way over your knee.
Don't get a pair that stops right at the middle of your knee, it will make you look shorter. That's not what you want, make sure it goes over!
2. Make sure they fit close to your leg.
The taller the boot, the more form-fitting the better! If they are too loose, you will look like a kid trying on her mom's shoes.
3. Make sure the shade of your jeans or leggings is similar to your boot color.
This is the most important tip! If you match the exact color, great (it lengthens the leg). If not, try to only go a few shades lighter (or darker) than the boot. Having too much of a color contrast will block off and shorten the look of your legs.
